My friend Rebecca sent me a text a few weeks ago looking for a drill to help one of her gymnasts with her overshoot on bars.
One of my “go to” drills recently has been this drill on trampoline. She has a T-shirt between her ear and shoulder to keep her head in line. The gymnast MUST stay tight otherwise they “splat”.
Ideally she should only turn just past 1/4. My experience is that gymnasts tend to over twist which causes a flat over shoot and leg separation.
